How can I place an order? What is the process?

Each order will be discussed within the consultation.

1. The purchase of $25 is a design consultation fee. Make this purchase in order to start the process.
2. Our team will reach out to coordinate an appointment with you and the artist. Please leave your information upon checking out.
3. You will answer a series of questions from the artist, describing the type of art you would like to bring to life. 
4. Our team will contact you, detailing the price and projected timeline. First half of the payment will be due upon purchase and the rest upon shipment. 
5. We will be in touch with you along the way, to make sure your vision is coming to life as you desire.
6. Creation of the art piece will take about 45 days. Shipment will be about 10 days.

What will the artist need from me during the consultation?

1. A photo or drawn image describing of what you are looking for.
2. Dimensions
3. Desired material to be used; such as rosewood, teakwood, sandalwood, etc (the artist will discuss options for you as well).

What is Inlay Wood Craft?

The art of inlay work is believed to have originated in Persia and was introduced to India during the Mughal era. Over time, it spread to various parts of the country, including Rajasthan, Agra, and Mysore, where it evolved with local influences.

Mysore, in particular, is renowned for its wood inlay art, which has a distinctive style characterized by intricate designs often depicting mythological scenes, floral patterns, or geometric designs, giving the appearance of a detailed painting. The artisans in Mysore use a variety of woods and materials, such as rosewood, teak, and ivory substitutes, to create stunning decorative pieces. This art form is highly regarded for its precision and aesthetic appeal. 

What variety of pieces can I make as my personal custom art order?

The artist will take a photo you provide and recreate it as a portrait for you. Whether it is a personal photo, landscape, religious piece, animals, nature, or anything of your imagination. All pieces are hand drawn, then adorned with wood carefully sourced from various local trees, then placed delicately upon the creation. The final product is treated and polished, delivering a classic timeless appeal.

Who is the artist? 

The artist we work is from Mysore, India. Starting with his grandfather, the skilled was been passed down to him from his father. Potentially, he might be one of the last artists of his kind. For now, he is shy to be seen, but someday we will be able to share videos of him working, as most work is amazingly done with basic tools. 

The artist has worked with legends around the world, including Sadhguru.
