Dry Wash:

For those who are curious, here is a step by step process of what makes this bean different from the others:

*Harvesting: Ripe robusta cherries are picked from the coffee plants, by hand, to ensure the best quality cherries are picked.

*Sorting: The harvested cherries are sorted to remove any defective or unripe beans. 

*Drying: The sorted cherries are spread out in the sun to dry. This process reduces the moisture content in the beans, typically to about 11-12%. This step can take several days, depending on the weather conditions.

*Hulling: Once dried, the outer layers of the cherries (the husk) are removed, separating the coffee beans from the dried fruit.

*Cleaning: The hulled beans undergo a dry washing process, where they are subjected to air pressure to remove any remaining debris, dust, or residual fruit.

*Sorting (again): After cleaning, the beans are sorted again for size and quality. This ensures that only the best beans are processed further for you!
